The City of Cape Girardeau posts any active boil water advisory at www.cityofcape.org/water in real-time. Incident information is shared with news media and posted to social media. Large incidents are also sent city-wide to all compatible devices using the Wireless Emergency Alert system. WEA messages include a special tone and vibration, which is different than the regular text message requiring registration at cityofcape.org/getalerts.
