The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau, MO, has been recognized as one of only 11 Zonta clubs across the United States to receive a prestigious award for their outstanding philanthropic contributions during the past biennium. With over 1,075 Zonta clubs international, this honor highlights the Cape Girardeau Club’s dedication to advancing the status of women through service and advocacy.

Amanda Lincoln, the current president of the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau, expressed her gratitude and pride in the club's achievements. ''This recognition is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our members. We are driven by a shared mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and girls, both locally and globally. To be acknowledged at this level is incredibly rewarding and motivates us to continue our efforts.''

Sandy Hastings, the previous president of the club, also reflected on the honor. ''During my tenure, we focused on expanding our reach and impact within the Cape Girardeau community. The support from our members and the local community has been overwhelming, and this award belongs to everyone who has been a part of our journey. It’s a collective achievement that underscores the power of collaboration.''
