SBDC Early-Stage Business Boot Camps Launching in August

The SBDC is excited to announce that they will be offering two Early-Stage Business Boot Camps this fall. Each boot camp consists of 8-sessions perfectly designed to help new small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs kick off their business on the right foot.

 

Entrepreneurs across southeast Missourians will have a chance to participate at no cost in one of two cohorts coming to the area:

• Sikeston – two full-day workshops Aug. 30 and Sept. 6.
• Cape Girardeau – 8-week series Aug. 27 – Oct. 15.

Participants will:

• Join a peer network of small business owners.
• Learn from successful entrepreneurs and guest speakers.
• Discover resources that they’ll need to start and grow a business.
• Find best practices for business planning.

In the program, participants learn foundational knowledge and skills about starting and growing a business, including topics like:

• Market research and analysis.
• Protecting your business and intellectual property.
• Financial management and projections.
• Marketing channels and reaching customer segments.
• Building, compensating and managing your team.
• Accessing capital.
