Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau Announces 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Walk Event

The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau is excited to announce its annual 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Walk, which will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Arena Park.

This event promises a day of fun and fitness for all ages and abilities. Participants are invited to join in the 5K run or enjoy a more leisurely pace with the 1 Mile Fun Walk. The event aims to promote community health and wellness while raising funds to support Zonta's mission of empowering women through service and advocacy.

Event Details:
• Date: Saturday, June 8, 2024
• Location: Arena Park, Cape Girardeau, MO
• Time: Registration begins at 7:00 AM, with the 5K race and the 1 Mile Fun Walk starting at 8:00 AM.

Participants can register online at RunSignUp.com to secure their spot in the race or walk. Early registration is encouraged to ensure a spot and receive a commemorative race t-shirt.

“We are thrilled to host this event again this year,” said Event Organizer's Sandy Duncan of the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau. “It's a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, get active, and support a great cause.”

Proceeds from the event will support various local and international projects aimed at improving the lives of women and girls, aligning with Zonta International’s mission.
